Network Line Interface meeting EN60950 safety requirements
The Ag2400 is an interface between communications equipment and a telephone line. Four line
termination circuits are provided on each device, needing a minimal number of external
components to implement a complete line interface. The device meets EN60950, IEC950 and
UL1950 safety requirements. Line and network balance impedances can be programmed by
hardware or by using a second generation Codec and the interface meets the CTR21 and FCC
Pt68 recommendations. Control of the telephone line is implemented by isolated on board loop
switches and loop condition detectors, which indicate the presence of ringing, battery
reversals or of a terminal equipment in parallel. The unit also receives signals "On-hook" to
support services such as Caller Line Identification. The d.c. conditions can be adjusted to
reduce the power dissipation in short loop applications. Packaged in a dual in line format, the
device is suited for rack mounting boards as well as computer telephony integration and line
concentrators.
Ag2400 is also available as a single central office interface (COIC) device - Ag2100.
